I gave this a 4 star because the first 20-30% of the book was boring and drug. I skipped numerous pages and started to wonder if I could finish the book. I was not connecting with the story and the book was doing a lot of repeating characters histories from the previous 2 books. Once I hit the 30% mark though, I fell in love all over with the characters and the story-line. I could not put it down, there was so much drama, head games, trigger points for the characters, depression to deal with, plus some action and love making on top of all that! So happy there is another book after this one, I was afraid the first time I read this series, there were only going to be 3 books and I was devastated! I could go on and on reading about the main characters, them raising their kids and then watching the kids grow up and fall in love. Oh well, maybe Nicole Jacquelyn will hear my pleas to keep this series going :)

Craving Absolution The Aces Volume 3 Nicole Jacquelyn 9781500529741 Books Reviews
First let me say I don't usually like the young 20 something romances and tend to want to read about more mature characters. I have read the first two books in this series and in preparation for this third book I went back and re-read book 2 Craving Redemption and absolutely loved it. It was better second time around for me. Book 1 was so good that I remembered most all of the details from it and the characters. Even not liking the YA genre much, I freaking loved this book. Could not put it down. I was so drawn into Casper and Farrah's struggles as well as the secondary characters. I really did not like Farrah much from the previous book but before the end of the book I was definitely team Farrah. I guess one thing that made me feel like I wasn't reading YA most of the time is because Casper came across like he had lived through so much and he had. Farrah's screwed up life was heart breaking and I wondered how she came out as good as she did, but then I realized when you have a support system like Casper, Callie and Grandma Rose you have to rise up because they sure aren't going to let you sink. It sounds so corny but I felt the "love" in this book. As they all struggled through their personal and joint dramas I could still feel the love. I hated Slider, the club prez and estranged father of Farrah, because he came across as a hard hearted SOB who abandoned his daughter to a life of abuse. But then Slider slid into my heart before the book was finished and my heart hurt for him. I could go on and on about this book but suffice it to say it was a book that didn't just engage me, it drug me into the lives and feelings of the characters, made me smile and made me cry. I really hate to see this series end and hope that at least a spin off of the club children will continue. Looks like I'm going to have to become a follower of the YA/NA romances like this one. I realized, IMO, it's all about the quality of the story written by the author and not necessarily about the age of the characters. There is a HEA and no cheating. This author's books just keep getting better and better and she's definitely one I will be following for new releases.
I just knew in my heart after reading Craving Constellations that I would pretty much love anything Nicole Jacquelyn wrote..and thankfully, I was finally able to read this third book in The Aces series. I love her way of writing a biker book that is both gentle and very relatable and then in the next breath, tough and ugly and downright scary. The reality is that her charcaters are all very complex and for those who don't understand or think they are not likeable, I disagree completely...everyone has good/bad, nice/naughty inside and everyone deals with the craziness in their lives differently.
Farrah and Cody (Casper) were a long time coming...and it was meant to be when they finally broke down their barriers and went for it. No good relationship is easy though, and when you are the illegitimate daughter of an MC Prez and your mom was a club whore...life has nowhere to go from up at that point. Farrah has a new "family"...Cody and his sister Callie and their Gram who pretty much adopt her as their own...and from this humble beginning, their story unfolds as Cody becomes deeply involved with some serious club business and at the same time claiming Farrah as his permanently.
Relationships between daughters and fathers are mended, destroyed...fathers and sons are smashed to bits following terrible tragedy and deception and yet from all the ashes, there is a sense of family strength and a hope for a better future. There were quite a few exciting and unexpected twists in the story near the end...and some pretty disturbing scenes as well...but all ended as it should.
Cody was all at once a loving family man, loyal club "brother" and passionate lover...but with a few mis-steps and cold feet preventing him from going all in until he grew a pair and stepped up. Farrah had the patience of a saint and at times retreated into herself for comfort but never losing sight of what she really wanted in life. Her panic attacks BTW, were spot on in their description and I could literally feel them as she broke down...extremely accurate depiction of what it feels like to go through one.
I LOVED the epilogue too...awesome follow-up to what happens over the next many years and left me wanting to read more about the kids as they grow up!
***** 4.5 ***** "a beautiful ladybug and her ghost lover" stars
