The Single Undead Moms Club HalfMoon Hollow Series Molly Harper 9781476794396 Books
Libby Stratton didn’t take her role as single Mom lightly and when it became obvious that she wasn’t going to beat cancer, she did the only thing that she thought she could do. She put an ad in the paper to request for a vampire to turn her into one. As if life wasn’t hard enough before being turned, try it out when you’re the only vampire mom on the PTA. As if being completely ignored with the exception of being given the worst jobs, your son being rejected by all of the other parents, and being sued by her in laws for custody just to name a few of her latest problems. Ad in that her vampire sire didn’t disappear like she requested and now has feelings for her and she can’t stop thinking about the sexy janitor that she met. What’s a girl to do???This book had me rolling in laughter. I absolutely loved every minute of it! Libby and Wade were hilarious together and I loved that both Dick and Jane were back along with some of the other character from the past books. Libby and Wade’s boys were so stinkin cute, they made me long for the days when my kids miss used words and said things that would make me want to burst out laughing but didn’t in fear that I would hurt their feelings because they were so serious in what they were talking about. This series is so funny and well worth the money spent even though my limit for books is normally $5.00. I’m unsure if it’s shareable or not and if not, that would be my only complaint.

The Single Undead Moms Club HalfMoon Hollow Series Molly Harper 9781476794396 Books Reviews
I've read everything Molly Harper has written, except for the Bluegrass series (which is in my TBR pile).
The Single Undead Mom's Club is part of Molly Harper's Half Moon Hollow (HMH) series, a spinoff from her Nice Girl's series. This story features a recently turned vampire. A single mom to a young (human) child. We follow Libby post-cancer treatments now vampire while she navigates being a newborn vamp, parenting her (still human) son, dealing with unruly (still human) in-laws, the PTA moms, and a few love interests. There are additional twists that keep the reader surprised and engaged throughout the story, but I won't reveal them.
For those who were with Molly Harper from the beginning with the Nice Girl's series, you'll be happy to know that the character Jane is still a prominent secondary character (yea!), and we learn about how Jane fits into Libby's life, and we get a glimpse into Jane's role with The Council. (I don't wan't to give anything away, so you'll have to figure that one out yourself.)
I was extremely pleased at the well-rounded character of Libby, and the relationship between her son, and her interactions with the other characters in the HMH world. Not only did she have character development, it was a unique voice from Molly Harper's other HMH characters. It's always impressive how Molly Harper is able to include the hilarious snark in the novels while giving each character their own voice. There are appearances of Dick Cheney (everyone's favorite HMH lovable scoundrel) and Andrea.
For those who want to know, there are some steamier scenes. As for where they fall on the scale from (1) = hand holding at best, through (5) as erotica, Molly Harper stays pretty much a 3 for her novels. There's some sex scenes, but they're not erotica graphic, and sex scenes are not a majority of the novel's content.
I think I still love "The Care and Feeding of Stray Vampires" and "Undead Sublet" (part of the "Undead in My Bed" Anthology) better, but there are no bad Nice Girl's/HMH books.
Definitely pick this one up! It's a standalone, but I highly recommend at least reading the Nice Girl's series first before starting the HMH books. It'll give the reader more insight into Molly Harper's original characters who introduce us to the exciting Kentucky small town of HMH.
NUMBER OF HEARTS 4 3/4
As always Ms. Harper writes a story that sucks you in and makes you run that emotional gauntlet. The combination of Ms. Harper’s witt & amazing storytelling combined with Amanda Conconi’s voice & talent at bring characters to life left me wishing I could move to Half Moon Hollow yet again. This is a winning combo!!!
I always love to visit Half Moon Hollow. I just love this town and the characters. I loved that In The Single Undead Moms Club we get to see how the town folk of HMH deal with the newest vampire in town. Needless to say they didn’t take it very well.
I loved Libby. Libby is such a fun character and she is great with her son. I loved that she wouldn’t let Dick hug her (I was dying laughing, poor Dick). I really liked Wade even when he was being a huge brat about the supply closet. Oh and don’t forget the epic back to school supply showdown. I really like Wade & Libby together. So much so that when I got to the end of the story I looked at my audiobook and yelled “You are not done, keep reading. Amanda why did you stop reading!!!!!”.
Finn, what can I tell you about Finn. Other then he made me really wish I could stab him with a fork.
I really can’t wait to see what is next in this series!!!!

Like all of Molly Harper's books, this adventure is filled with humor, quirky romance, and plenty of familiar faces. Libby, a widow, escapes a sentence of terminal cancer by way of becoming a vampire, only to find her in-laws suing for custody of her six year old son. With help from her Council representatives, otherwise known as Jane and Dick, she has to prove she's still a fit parent to the community and the increasingly evil PTA. Chance encounters with a handsome mechanic spice things up, along with her previously anonymous Sire's romantic overtures. Toss in a masked man trying to kill her, and you have the perfect recipe we've come to expect from Ms. Harper.
